I made this hat for Lou while he was vacationing somewhere even colder than here.

He has to wear it over another hat because it is so cold out!
Pattern: Knitty’s Swell with my own chart substituted for the one in the pattern. I borrowed the whale from some Fiber Trends pattern and did the waves myself.

Yarn: The blues are both Cascade 220 and the brown is Plymouth Galway

Mods: Substituted the chart, left out the purl row and added a row of single crochet around the edge of the hat.

While I was making this hat I was afraid it would be too silly (what with the whales and all) but luckily it is approved of.
