Hufflepuff Socks
Pattern: Yarn Harlot’s sock recipe from Knitting Rules
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in “Bee Stripe”
Comments: These are surprisingly warm socks. I usually wear pretty thick wool socks because I get cold easily and my feet get wet a lot. These socks are quite a bit thinner than my regular socks but they are just as warm!
Today it is finally spring! It is warm(ish) and sunny and I wore my new socks!
You may have noticed the blue toe on my sock. There is a story there (of course). I knit the first of my Hufflepuff Socks and I noticed that I still had quite a bit of yarn left from my first skein. I had purchased two skeins of yarn to make these socks but I have really small feet and I began to wonder if I could squeeze two socks from one skein of yarn. I almost made it! The blue yarn is where I ran out of my first skein of yarn and was too cheap to crack into another one for just the tip of the toe.
Actually, the right sock is a little small, I have to wear it on my slightly smaller right foot, but I love these socks anyways!
