Dad’s Convertible Hat

Pattern: My own, but not much of a pattern really. I just knit a long tube in 1×1 ribbing until I thought it was long enough so that when it was a hat my dad would be able to fold up the brim for double-warmth over his ears. To make the tube convertible as a hat I took a piece of leather cord and threaded it through the last row before the bind-off and put the ends of the cord through a plastic toggle (one of these). Tada! Hat with a moving part for a dad who likes gadgets!
