Boni Hat

Boni Hat
Pattern: Sunflower Tam from “Knitting Nature,” by Norah Gaughan
Yarn: SWTC Karaoke (50% soysilk, 50% wool)
Modifications: I changed this pattern to be a beanie instead of a tam. To do this I took out one pattern repeat (I think that was 12 stitches but I’m not sure) and cast-on that amount. I worked four rows and then a purl row for the roll-brim and then I did K 10, RT every other row and a Knit Even every other row until the hat was about the right length and then I did the top just like in the pattern
Comments: I liked this yarn, I like the more subtle colorways of the Karaoke. This yarn is really soft and I think it shows the stitches really well. I only chose it because I thought it was the right green, it was a happy accident that it all worked out. Hurray!
