Dog-Walk Hat
Pattern: Cap Karma Hat (ravelry link here) free pattern available by joining the Yahoo Group SmariekKnits
Yarn: Malabrigo in the appropriately titled colorway “Autumn Forest” Adrienne gave me this yarn and I’ve been waiting for the perfect hat pattern for it because I love these colors and wanted to wear them on my head.
Modifications: I used Brooklyn Tweed’s instructions for modifying the top decreases to continue the cable pattern found here. I also had to make it a bit smaller to fit my head/stop the pooling. I took out two pattern repeats (8 sts).
Why am I calling this the “Dog-Walk Hat”? Because this week’s dog-walks have looked like this:

Perfect hat! I was thinking malabrigo when I saw brooklyn tweeds, and now that I’ve seen yours, well I just have to make this hat! Wish I could take my dog on your walks, too.
