Sockapalooza: The Grand Finale!
I got my socks!!!
These socks were made especially for me by the lovely Valerie of Knitting in Pink. If you like socks you should check out her blog because she is a sock professionale.
Valerie really outdid herself on these, I could not have imagined more perfect socks. The yarn (Dream in Color Smooshy Sock Yarn) is divine, thick and soft, the stitch pattern (Waving Lace from Favorite Socks) is lovely and the color (it’s called “Happy Forest,” how could it not be awesome) is probably my favorite color ever.
Also: The fit is exactly right! Better than most of the socks I make myself in fact.
Valerie, I think you read my mind or something because these socks are so perfect for me!
Sorry it took me so long to get these pictures up. I have been wearing my socks and devouring my loot (oh yes there was loot, as though these awesome socks weren’t enough Valerie sent me cards, candles, chocolate and more sock yarn!!!) for a full week without posting my pictures!
Life interfered, this time in the form of a parade of lovely house-guests visiting me in my Gustavus digs and coming out in the boats with me:
