Sockapalooza Sock plus added bonus Socks!
I finished my first sock for my Sockapalooza Pal!
My sock pal has big feet! … Or else I just have really small feet.
The colors are more accurate in these pictures than they were in my last post.
I’m using the Charade pattern from here. I really like this pattern and I would be knitting the 2nd sock already except that I knit this sock in such a frenzy (no breaks for any other projects – unheard of!!!) that I began to get a little sore spot on my hand so I thought I better work on some other projects before I start the 2nd sock.
That turned out to be a great idea because yesterday I finished these:
Pattern: Rpm Socks. Totally fun quick pattern!
Yarn: Rabbit Ridge Optim Merino in color “Turquise Sand” This yarn is dyed by a lady who lives in Anchorage, AK so it is kind of local. I don’t know what “Optim Merino” means but this is some of the softest yarn I have ever had! I already bought more for another pair of socks!
Mmm… These socks are so soft and cushy! The perfect thing for cold warehouse floors!
PS: If you are not reading this blog… well, you should be!!! Stef is amazing, witty, and she always has the most interesting things to talk about! I totally want to rip off pretty much everything she knits (except maybe those mini-sweaters).

Those are some awesome socks! The patterns you picked suit the variegation nicely. And isn’t Optim Merino lovely? I’ve only seen prepared for spinning, not in final yarn form, but it was oh so soft!

I didn’t know that Optim came in a sock yarn– I thought it was a brand name, hahaha. If it feels the same as the “Optim” I fondled in San Jose, those socks must be nearly unwearably awesome.
I can’t believe I still haven’t made RPM socks. Yeesh. *queues*
I love those socks. All three of them. P.S. We have the Rabbit Ridge in the green color in superwash, but not the optim.
I have big feet! Maybe they’re for me. I’d love it if they were mine.
