Super Bowl Hat and Ladybug Hat

Alli made me go to her superbowl party. Is football boring or what? On the plus side, I got some yummy food out of the deal, and I made this hat!

Of course, Alli promptly stole it after I made it. But look how well it matches her glovelets! I didn’t really use a pattern, just did baby cable ribbing and started decreasing when I began to run out of yarn. The yarn is Brown Sheep Prarie Silk I believe (lost the label).

Edited to add:  Force non-football fans to come to Superbowl parties, get cool hats!!!  Brilliant - A party and a hat!  Anyways I didn’t steal this hat, it was given to me because I have a small head and Adrienne ran out of yarn.  This is my very favorite hat.  I wear it all the time.

Here’s another hat I made recently:

It’s for a baby I know. I used a random assortment of yarn from the stash (the red is some sock yarn, the green is hemp and the black is silky tweed). I hope it’s the right size, I don’t really know how big babies heads are.
