Fast and Gratifying
Crochet Scarf!
As promised this was a quick project, it just took me a long time to get a picture.
I had fun making this, I had really pretty yarn and it was exciting to see it grow so fast.
I still like knitting better but it’s nice to be able to crochet and not be afraid of using it for things like edgings and bind-offs and fabulous scarves and lovely little purses (speaking of lovely little purses, Adrienne’s is almost finished, I know cuz I saw it, so maybe there will be pictures soon! Yay for the FO parade!).
Without further ado:

Pattern: Simple Single-Crochet Scarf based on Adrienne’s instructions on how to crochet. She is a good teacher!
Yarn: Mango Moons Recycled Silk and Manos del Uruguay. This is a hippie scarf.
Comments: I really like how this came out, it is all heavy and drapey in a really nice way and I think the vertical stripes and the nature of the crochet give structure to the Manos and keep the silk from being able to stretch it out.
Gratuitous Scarf Picture:

I love the scarf! The last picture is really pretty and the perspective is cool. It’s good to see more AK knitters.
My BF took the pictures, I like that last one because I think it makes the fringe look like creepy fingers.
I think it makes it look more like a sea monster than creepy fingers.
